After meeting your guide, you will begin by exploring Venice on foot to discover its most emblematic sites, including:
- Saint Mark's Basilica
- Saint Mark's Campanile
- The Clock Tower
- The Procuratie
- Campo Santa Maria Formosa
- The Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo (known as the "Pantheon of Venice")
- Marco Polo's House
- The Malibran Theatre
You will then head to Saint Mark's Square and get direct access to the Doge's Palace, the ancient seat of Venetian political power!
Once inside the Doge's Palace your guide will show you the splendid halls decorated in the Baroque style. After going up the Golden Staircase, orned with stucco and frescos, you will access the council rooms on the upper floors.
Here, you'll be able to witness the extravagance and magnificence of the justice chambers. Works of art such as the Triumph of Venice by Veronese, or Paradise by Tintoretto line the walls and ceilings of the huge halls.
Throughout your visit the guide will tell you about the finer points of the architecture in the Doge's Palace.
At the end of your tour your guide will accompany you back to Saint Mark's Square.
