After meeting your guide in the center of Madrid, you'll depart by bus for the city of Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This medieval city is one of the oldest in Europe and is nicknamed the City of Three Cultures, as Christians, Muslims and Jews have coexisted here for years, strongly influencing the city's distinctive architecture.
You'll have the opportunity to discover the city's must-see sites and pass by its main monuments. With your guide's commentary and anecdotes, you'll learn more about Toledo's rich history and witness the variety of architectural styles found throughout the city (Arab, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance and Baroque). You'll pass through the Jewish Quarter, the convents and the Spanish Gothic Toledo Cathedral. You'll also have free time to stroll the streets, enjoy a bite to eat and buy souvenirs in the sword and armory stores.
The day's excursion continues with a visit to an 18th-century winery. Here, you'll discover the vines, the different grape varieties and, depending on the season, you may even be able to observe the estate in full harvest mode.Accompanied by an expert oenologist, you'll learn all about the winemaking process. You'll finish your experience in the winery, where you'll taste 3 different local wines*, accompanied by snacks.You'll be able to immerse yourself in a total sensory and taste experience, comparing each wine and identifying their evolution on the palate.
You'll head back to Madrid around 4pm.
