Description

Set off on a night-time dinner cruise in Tokyo Bay aboard a traditional yakatabune boat!

Yakatabune are small traditional boats that date back to the Heian period (794-1185): they typically have a low ceiling, tatami mats on the floor and brightly coloured hulls adorned with lanterns. These vessels are pleasure boats.

After boarding, you'll be taken to your table and seated on a tatami floor mat for the duration of the cruise. You'll be able to admire Tokyo and its iconic landmarks from a different angle: views from the Sumida River and Tokyo Bay include the Rainbow Bridge, the Tokyo Skytree tower, the Odaiba district, etc.

You'll be served a seasonal meal of traditional Japanese classics while admiring the city lights from the windows of the yakatabune. During the crossing, you'll be able to go out on deck to admire the view over Tokyo. You'll also get unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

Example menu (as a guide):
- Hors d'oeuvres
- Assorted sashimi (tuna, squid, prawns, scallops, etc)
- Tempura (fried fish and vegetables)
- Chirashi-zushi (bowl of vinegared rice with garnish)
- Noodle dish
- Salad
- Fresh fruit

At the end of the meal, you'll be taken back to the embarkation point.

Departure time: between 5pm and 6.30pm - you'll be given the exact time when the activity is confirmed
Please arrive at the meet-up point 30 minutes before the boat's departure time
The tour operator reserves the right to cancel the activity if there aren't enough participants. If this is the case, you'll be offered an alternative date or a refund
The cruise will take place if it rains, but may be cancelled in the event of exceptional circumstances such as an earthquake, tsunami or storm
The itinerary may be subject to change
A minimum of 2 participants is required to book this activity. Solo diners are not allowed
The tour operator cannot cater for passengers with food allergies or dietary restrictions
A children's meal will be available for children aged 3 to 5
You may be asked to share a table with other passengers
