Get out of Rio for a day and head to the charming town of Búzios.
A shuttle will collect you from your hotel and you will set off towards Búzios, located 2 hours from Rio, crossing the Rio-Niteroi bridge along the way.
Originally a small fishing village, since the 1960s Búzios has gradually become a tourist hotspot that's particulary popular with the Brazilian jet-set crowd. Upon arrival on the peninsula, you will go on a short guided tour around the cobblestone alleys which house artists' studios and sophisticated cafes. You will then have some free time to explore the town at your own pace or to take refreshing dip in the clear waters.
At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
