Description

Stroll along the footbridges of Paiva on this excursion departing from Porto!

You'll start your day with a transfer from your accommodation in Porto, before being driven to Arouca, where you'll discover the famous geopark, recognized by UNESCO for its exceptional geodiversity. Next, you'll reach the Passadiços do Paiva, a series of wooden footbridges winding along the Paiva River.

You'll walk at your own pace, enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding gorges, waterfalls and forests. This 8-kilometer hike across the footbridges offers total immersion in the region's unspoilt wilderness. You'll also have the chance to discover the local flora and fauna, thanks to information panels along the way.

At the halfway point, there's a lunch break where you can recharge your batteries and enjoy a typical lunch. You'll be able to taste Posta Arouquesa, a beef-based dish, followed by Pinguça, a local liqueur. At the end of the hike, you'll be driven back to Porto.
