Visit the famous Cathedral of Pisa on a guided tour and add on a visit to the inside of the famous Leaning Tower (optional extra)!
During this small group tour, you'll visit the Cathedral of Pisa, one of the most important historical complexes in Europe, and a classified UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989.
You'll start your tour at the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, where you'll find the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery, the Cathedral and the famous Leaning Tower.
Construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption of Pisa, also called "il Duomo" began in 1063 to celebrate Pisa's prowess, which at the time was a powerful maritime republic. Your guide will tell you more about this point in time and the story behind the cathedral.
If you have selected the optional visit to the emblematic Tower of Pisa, also called the 'Campanile', you'll get to visit the tower's interior.
Land subsidence caused the tower to lean and put an end to any further building works. Inside the tower you'll find a spiral staircase with 294 steps that will take you to the top from where you can admire a magnificent view of the city.
