Once your minibus has collected you, your journey will begin with a visit to what Victor Hugo called "the beating heart of Paris": Notre Dame Cathedral. Reigning over the Seine from the Ile de la Cité – the oldest part of Paris – Notre Dame is a remarkable example of Gothic architecture.
Next, your minibus will drop you off at the Louvre Museum, situated between the Seine's Rive Droite (Right Bank) and the Rue de Rivoli. Follow your guide on a tour of this legendary Parisian institute, focussing on three of the museum's most prized masterpieces: the "Venus de Milo", the Grecian sculpture discovered in 1820 on the island of Milo; Leonardo da Vinci's must-see "Mona Lisa" with her mysterious smile; and the "Winged Victory of Samothrace", a representation of the Greek goddess Nike. You will also have the opportunity to visit the other collections independently.
This morning of culture will be followed by a three-course meal with drinks (see below for menu details) during a 90-minute river cruise on the Seine, giving you the chance to see even more of the capital's most impressive sights.
Finally, take a stroll through the narrow, winding lanes of Montmartre, not forgetting to pause at the Sacré Coeur. And why not take home a picture of yourself, sketched by one of the many portrait artists in the Place du Tertre, as a souvenir of this day out exploring the French capital!
