Description

Spend 3 days exploring two UNESCO world heritage sites!

Visit Mont Saint-Michel and its abbey, known as the Gothic "Marvel", and fall in love with the site's exceptional beauty as you stroll along the ramparts. This cultural excursion then continues with a trip to Tours and the Chateaux of the Loire Valley to visit Chenonceau and Chambord, two of France's most magnificent palaces...

This relaxing mini-break is full of surprises!

Day 1:

Set off from Paris towards Mont Saint Michel, travelling through the bucolic Normandy countryside. At around 12 noon, you will have lunch at a coastal restaurant looking out at Mont Saint-Michel across the bay.

In the afternoon the coach will take you to the foot of Mont Saint-Michel hill via the causeway. You will then proceed to the abbey set upon the peak of the rocky islet, ascending via the ramparts or through the village.

After your guided tour of this spectacular Gothic-inspired structure, take advantage of some free time until 4.30pm to soak in the atmosphere of the village. You will then leave for Angers, where your hotel will provide you with food and accommodation for the night.

Day 2:

You will depart from Angers in the morning. A stop in the journey is planned in order to admire the exterior of Angers Chateau, after which you'll make your way to Langeais for a guided tour of its medieval chateau.

At lunch, you will be given free time to enjoy a meal in the wine-growing region of Amboise.

In Amboise, you will then visit Clos-Lucé, the stately manor that was home to Leonardo da Vinci from 1516 until his death in 1519. You will then have a guided tour of the gardens of Villandry, which are split across three levels: the upper terrace, the ornamental garden and the kitchen garden. Friday's programme will conclude with a tour of Tours, where your guide will show you around the Old Town, famous for its medieval houses.

At the end of the day, you will check into your hotel and have dinner.

Day 3:

In the morning you will be driven to Chenonceau for a tour of this majestic chateau renowned for its collections of art and period furniture. Your journey will continue with a visit to Cheverny, Hergé's inspiration for the chateau of Moulinsart in Tintin. You will have lunch at the site.

In the afternoon you will go on a guided tour of the royal chateau of Chambord, the largest of the Loire Chateaux.

You will leave from Chambord at around 4.30pm to arrive back in Paris at around 7pm.
