Discover the Roman towns of Alcudia and Pollença and the Formentor peninsula!
For this excursion to the north of Mallorca, your English-speaking guide, will pick you up in front of your hotel. You'll board an eight-passenger van and set off in the direction of Alcudia. To start the day, you'll visit the Roman remains of the ancient town of Pollentia, now Alcudia. Here you'll discover an amphitheatre and traces of the ancient city built over 2,000 years ago.
Then your guide will take you to the other side of the ramparts of Alcudia, home to the medieval town, and tell you all about its history. You'll discover charming squares and houses with green shutters.
You'll then take the road to neighboring Pollença for lunch. Sitting in the main square, you'll enjoy a paella. You can then stroll through the village. The more courageous can climb the365 steps to the Calvaire, which lead up to the Chapelle des Templiers. From up there, you can admire the village and the surrounding countryside.
Then, your guide will take you to the Formentor Peninsula. Here, you'll discover impressive views of the sea and the Sierra de Tramuntana. Then it's on to the Formentor beach, one of the most beautiful on the island, for a swim and some snorkeling.
Your return to the hotel will take place around 5pm.
