The Osaka World Expo 2025, or Expo 2025 Osaka, will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay. The theme of this large-scale event is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, with three main sub-themes: “Saving Lives”, “Empowering Lives” and “Connecting Lives”.
Spanning over 155 hectares, the site features a ring roof measuring 615 meters in diameter and 2 kilometers in circumference, connecting the various pavilions across three zones: Green World, Pavilion World, and Water World. Over 150 countries will be represented, with around 28 million visitors expected throughout the event.
Expo 2025 Osaka marks Japan’s third World Exposition, following Expo '70, which symbolized the country’s rapid economic growth, and Expo 2005 Aichi. This event, held 20 years after Japan’s last World Expo, will offer you a unique insight into humanity’s future while celebrating Japan’s rich cultural heritage.

- Opening hours: 9am to 10pm. Entry is only possible from 11am for certain types of ticket
- Location: Yumeshima Island, Osaka
- Different types of admission tickets are available depending on the period of visit and the number of entries:
・Opening ticket - valid for one entry between April 13 and 26, 2025
・First-half period ticket - valid for one entry between April 13 and July 18, 2025
・One day ticket (Super Early Bird Ticket) - valid for one entry between April 13 and October 13, 2025 - on sale until October 6
・Special ticket - valid for one entry between April 13 and October 13, 2025 - reserved for guests with a disability certificate - on sale until October 6
・Summer pass - valid for multiple entries between July 19 and August 31, 2025
・Season pass - valid for multiple entries between April 13 and and October 13, 2025
- IMPORTANT: you must create an account and make a reservation including the date, time and pavilion on the EXPO official website in order to visit the site.
Please read the instructions below carefully before proceeding with your ticket purchase.
・Step 1: ticket purchase
Choose the date and the type of ticket. After purchase, you will receive a PDF file with a ticket ID (10 characters including letters and numbers) by email.
・Step 2: registration
Register as a member on the official EXPO website. You will get an ExpoID : you can then log in and enter the ticket ID
*We recommend that you check the account creation process before purchasing your ticket
・Step 3: reservation
Book the date and time of your visit, as well as the time slots to visit the pavilions of your choice. You can reserve the date and time of your visit from 6 months in advance, i.e. from October 2024 for the first days of Expo. For pavilions, events and other exhibitions, you'll have three booking opportunities, including two by lottery.
①1st lottery: 2 months prior to visit date
②2nd lottery: 7 days prior to visit date
③ from 3 days prior to visit date ※Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, not a lottery.
・Step 4: entrance
Show the QR code received after booking to enter the EXPO.

- Access to pavilions and events is not guaranteed. No refunds will be offered if you are unable to book the pavilions of your choice
