Description

In one day, explore the medieval town of Mdina, Dingli cliffs, the gardens of Sant'Anton, the village of Ta' Qali as well as the St. Mary of Mosta Rotunda!

From your hotel, you will travel by bus to the medieval town of Mdina, renowned for its Baroque architecture. You will explore the streets of the walled city accompanied by your guide and delve into the rich past of the "Città Vecchia" (the old town).

You will then set off along the west coast of the island to the Dingli cliffs, reputed to be the highest point in the Maltese archipelago. You will enjoy a panoramic view of the coast and the sea as well as a small uninhabited island called Fifla before heading to a restaurant in Rabat for a lunch break.

After your lunch, You will go to the Botanical Gardens of Sant'Anton located in the village of Attard. These gardens were built in the 17th century by Grand Master Antoine de Paule. Sant'Anton Palace is now a residence of the Maltese President. Opened in 1882, the gardens are home to a wide variety of trees and flowers from around the world.

You will then visit the village of Ta' Qali and its craft district where you will find local artisans making glass artworks using the ancient glassblowing technique. This is an opportunity to purchase some souvenirs from Malta!

Finally, you will end your guided tour by visiting the largest church in Malta, the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, built between the 1830s and 1860s. You will be driven back to your hotel after a full day of sightseeing in the centre and west of the island.
