Description

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage cities of Segovia and Ávila in the company of a professional guide!

You will leave Madrid early in the day and travel by bus to Segovia. Your visit will begin in Plaça Azoguejo, where you can admire the impressive Roman aqueduct built during the Augustan Empire. You'll continue your guided tour of the Old Town via the Plaza Mayor, where you'll discover the facades of the Gothic-style cathedral. Throughout your visit, you'll enjoy commentary by your professional guide. You will then go inside Segovia Cathedral, the last Gothic cathedral to be built in Spain, and finish your tour in the Canonjías district, where you will discover the imposing Alcázar, the former fortified residence of the kings of Castile and one of the most spectacular fortresses in the whole of Spain.

You will then head for Ávila, one of Spain's oldest cities. You'll enjoy a guided tour of the city and admire its wall, one of the best preserved, dating from the 11th century. You will enter the oldest districts of the city, home to important Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and cathedrals. See the Cathedral from the outside, the Basilica of San Vicente and the Plaza Mayor. You will walk through the old streets of the city to the convent of Santa Teresa.

After your guided tour, you'll catch the bus back to Madrid at the end of the day.
