Description

Start the day with a tour of the streets of Westminster, during which you will come across several must-see sites such as the Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.

Your tour will take you past the Cenotaph, one of the memorials commemorating the First World War, as well as the statue of Winston Churchill.

You will then discover the Cabinet War Rooms, where you will be able to visit the Churchill Museum. Your guide will recount stories linked to the period of the Second World War and unveil some of the building's secrets.

You will also be able to explore the map room and the entire network of secret underground chambers from where Winston Churchill sent orders out to British troops during World War II.

Your guide will share with you some fascinating private and public stories concerning the legendary Winston Churchill, including special conversations with President Roosevelt and even his relationship with his wife.

  • Departure point: Westminster tube station, exit Victoria Embankment, take the stairs up to street level to Victoria Embankment.
  • Meeting point : At the top of the stairs behind the statue of Boadicea on a chariot. 
  • Arrival point: the tour will end in the Cabinet War Room
  • PLEASE NOTE : The meeting point is not at the churchull war rooms.

 

  • Each tour group consists of less than 15 people
  • During peak times at the monuments visited, earphones will be provided so that you can always hear your guide
  • Please note that the group will not wait for those who arrive late and no reimbursement will be provided
  • Participants must be physically able to walk the distance covered by the tour at a relatively brisk pace
  • Comfortable footwear is recommended
  • This activity is not suitable for persons of reduced mobility and those with pushchairs
  • You are permitted to take photos throughout this tour
  • Please remember to bring an umbrella or waterproof clothing in case of rain
  • Access to the tour will be refused, without compensation, to intoxicated persons or those who behave in a disruptful manner
  • For security reasons, the Churchill War Rooms reserves the right to check the contents of bags. It is therefore possible that you experience a waiting time at the security check-point, given the high number of visitors. Please do not bring large bags
