Discover Japanese cuisine and learn how to cook your own bento!

Bento is an essential part of Japanese cuisine. They are individual meals presented in a box, made up of several foods and generally eaten at lunchtime. A bento usually contains rice, meat or fish, as well as cooked and fermented vegetables on the side.

For this introduction to Japanese cuisine, you'll head to downtown Kyoto.
Assisted by an English-speaking Japanese expert, you'll not only be able to cook several emblematic dishes found in a bento but also learn about the history of the bento, the basics of Japanese cuisine, its essential ingredients and seasonings.

In particular, you'll learn how to cook the following dishes:
- Sesame spinach salad (goma-ae)
- Teriyaki chicken
- Japanese rolled omelette (dashi maki tamago)
- Tempura
- Maki
- Miso soup

At the end of the course, you'll be able to enjoy the bento you prepared!
