Discover Pearl Harbor historic sites on a cultural day trip from Maui!
Your day will begin with a flight from Kahului to the island of Oahu. Once you've arrived in Honolulu, you'll begin your tour with the Pearl Harbor site. You'll spend around 4.5 hours there, discovering the USS Arizona Memorial and Visitor Center, retracing the momentous events of 1941. You'll also have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the USS Missouri, the last battleship built by the US Navy, where you'll be able to locate the plaque marking the exact location of the Japanese surrender.
After this immersion in history, your excursion will continue into Downtown Honolulu, where you'll admire historic buildings such as the Iolani Palace and the statue of King Kamehameha. You'll also visit the Kawaiahao Church, Hawai'i's first Christian church, and the Mission Houses Museum, to learn about the daily lives of early missionaries.
Finally, you'll enjoy a peaceful drive through the Punchbowl National Cemetery, a memorial cemetery nestled in a volcanic crater offering an atmosphere of serenity.
At the end of the day, you'll be driven to Honolulu airport for a return flight to Maui.
