Take to the skies at Diamond Head Crater and experience the best of Oahu on this day trip!
Your driver will pick you up outside your hotel in Waikiki or Kahala and take you to Diamond Head, a volcanic crater that has become a true symbol of Hawaii. You will then begin a moderate hike through the heart of this protected site. At a height of 171 metres, you will reach the top of the crater and enjoy an unobstructed view of Waikiki, Honolulu but also the ocean and the interior of the crater.
After descending from Diamond Head, you will meet up with your driver who will take you to the next site. You will then discover Halona Blowhole, a rock formation from which a surprising geyser of seawater gushes out. You can also visit the Halona cove, regularly used as a backdrop for films such as Pirates of the Caribbean. You will then follow the Oahu coastline, stopping further north at a tropical macadamia nut farm. Visit the shop and discover the local produce grown and harvested on site. You can then enjoy superb views of the beach and mountains at Kualoa Regional Park.
For lunch, head to the Kahuku Sugar Mill, a former sugar mill now home to several food trucks (lunch not included). In the afternoon, you'll continue on your way to the north of the island and make a stop at the Kuilima Farm fruit stand, where you can buy papayas, dragon fruit, coconuts and many other fresh produce.
At the tip of the island, you'll make your way back down the west coast of Oahu. Along the way, you'll discover Sunset Beach and Haleiwa Beach Park, beaches renowned for their surfing conditions. To round off this full day, you'll head to Dole Plantation, famous for the pineapples it produces and its pretty outdoor park. You can sample the plantation's iconic pineapple ice cream and take a tour of its huge shop.
At around 4pm, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
