Discover Dubai's must-see sites and enjoy a desert safari at sunset on a full-day excursion!

Starting from your hotel in Dubai, you'll set off to discover the historic sites and modern life of the United Arab Emirates' first city. Your visit starts in the Jumeirah district where you can admire the famous artificial island of Palm Jumeirah. You'll also see the Atlantis Resort, a luxury hotel with impressive architecture. Accompanied by your local guide, you'll pass by Ski Dubai, the world's largest indoor ski slope! Stop off at the charming Souk Madinat and admire the Burj Al Arab hotel, another of Dubai's iconic buildings. Your journey will continue to the Jumeirah Mosque and then along Sheikh Zayed Road, from where you will be able to see unique architectural buildings including the Museum of the Future and the Dubai Frame.

Your guide will then take you to the historic Al Bastakiya district, where you will make a stop at the 18th-century Al Fahidi Fort. You will take an Abra, a traditional wooden boat, across the Dubai creek. You will then have some time to shop in the Deira gold souk. To round off the morning, you will be dropped off at the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping centre in the world, to enjoy some free time.

In the afternoon, your driver will take you to the Dubai desert. In a 4x4 vehicle, you will take an impressive route through the dunes and stop off at a camel farm, before heading off to a traditional camp. You will be welcomed with a cup of Ghawa and local dates. Throughout the afternoon, you can enjoy a wide range of activities on site: camel rides, sand surfing, henna tattooing, etc. You can also enjoy local snacks such as falafels. After admiring the sunset, you will be entertained by folk dancing, belly dancing or fire breathing around a traditional barbecue.

At the end of your excursion, you will be taken back to your hotel in Dubai.

Good to know

  • Valid: every day except Friday (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • Start time and place: between 7am and 8am at your Dubai hotel (exact time will be confirmed after booking)
  • This activity requires a minimum of 2 people
  • Children aged 0 to 4 years inclusive are not allowed to take part in this activity
  • Desert safaris involve driving through sand dunes as well as on off-road tracks. This activity is therefore strongly advised against for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, back or neck problems
  • During the day, you can take part in the following activities free of charge: dune bashing, sandboarding, camel rides, henna tattooing, hookah and shows
  • You can also hire quads or buggies on site (extra charge)
  • During the summer (June to September), temperatures can sometimes reach 45 degrees. Humidity levels can also exceed 90% during this period. We recommend that all our customers take the necessary precautions
  • In order to respect the locations visited, you are asked to follow a strict dress code:
    - For men: shorts are not permitted (however trousers that reach below the knees are permitted); a long-sleeved top is compulsory. No visible tattoos
    - For women: no see-through or tight clothing; a long-sleeved top with a high neck is mandatory and the legs must be covered (long dress or loose trousers down to the ankles). A headscarf must also be worn. No visible tattoos
  • The local provider reserves the right to cancel any part of the planned programme due to government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions or other similar circumstances
  • Delays in hotel pick-up and/or return journey may occur due to traffic conditions in Dubai
  • Please note that during Islamic holidays, entertainment (belly dancing, Tanoura dancing) and alcohol consumption are prohibited throughout the UAE. As a result, the safari will run without such entertainment and without alcohol service during these periods
  • After the morning tour of Dubai, you will be dropped off at the Dubai Mall (lunch break and shopping at your own expense). You will be told the meeting point and departure time for the safari after booking.
