A true interactive space, the GDR Museum offers visitors the chance to really walk in the footsteps of former RDA residents. Take a seat behind the wheel of an old Trabant vehicle or visit the a typical family bedroom and living room of the time.

Thanks to a multitude of testimonials, photos, videos and archives, you can learn about the former citizens of East Germany. Explore various aspects of East Germany’s history: culture, work, accommodation, entertainment and fashion thanks to fun and sensory displays. You will also discover the system of espionage that the government used during that time to spy on it’s citizens.
