Good to know

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Duration: 48 hrs, 72 hrs, 4 days, 5 days or 6 days (according to your chosen option)
  • The Berlin WelcomeCard grants free access to the city’s public transport network for 1 adult and up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 years
  • The city’s museums are generally open from 10am to 4pm. It is recommended to check the opening times of each individual site when planning your visit
  • You will be asked to indicate a provisional date for your visit when you book, but your pass is not restricted to this date – it will only be activated upon first use and valid for the chosen duration. The pass is redeemable any time from the date indicated on your voucher until the end of the current calendar year
  • The Berlin WelcomeCard grants access to Berlin’s public transport network (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and regional trains, excluding special services and excursion routes) throughout zones A and B, or A, B and C, according to your chosen option
  • If you wish to visit Potsdam to discover the Sanssouci castle and gardens, to travel to Schönefeld airport or to the Berlin suburbs, you need the Berlin WelcomeCard A-B-C
  • It is not possible to purchase add-on tickets for a zone C trip on a zone A-B pass
  • An information booklet in English and German is provided with the pass
  • The Berlin WelcomeCard is a transport pass and must be validated before first use in order to access the public transport services and discounts offered. The duration of the Berlin WelcomeCard commences upon validation
  • Upon confirmation of your online booking, you will receive a voucher via email. This voucher must be presented at one of the Berlin Tourist Info points, the main station, the Berlin TV Tower, the Europacenter, Brandenburg Gate, Kurfürstendamm, or at one of Berlin’s airports in order to obtain the official Berlin WelcomeCard and information booklet
  • Both the Berlin WelcomeCard AND the information booklet must be presented at the monuments, restaurants, boutiques etc. in order to benefit from discounts
  • The duration of 48-hour and 72-hour Berlin WelcomeCards is counted in hours from the first use. For example, if you begin using a 48-hour pass at 4pm on a Monday, the pass will be valid until 3:59pm on Wednesday
  • The duration of 4, 5 and 6-day Berlin WelcomeCards is counted in calendar days from the first use. For example, if you begin using a 4-day pass at 4pm on a Monday, the pass will be valid until 11:59pm on Thursday
