Set off to explore some of Lebanon's most exceptional sights on this excursion to Byblos, Jeita and Harissa!
- Jeita Grotto Tour
After the pick-up from your hotel you will be taken to the tour departure point in central Beirut. Your day will start with a tour of the magnificent Jeita Grotto. Nominated as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, the grotto has an underground section that you can visit by boat and an upper section that you can visit on foot with your guide.
- Tour of the Historic Port of Byblos & Lunch
Next, you will head to Byblos, one of the world's oldest cities which dates back to 7000 BCE. Today, this dynamic and modern town attracts more and more people who come to see its old port by day and by night. Your guide will tell you all about the history of the city and its monuments, such as the Byblos Castle, which was built by the crusaders in the twelfth century.
You will then take a pleasant break for lunch in a local restaurant where you can sample delicious mezze (an assortment of small Lebanese dishes) and a glass of Arak (a traditional beverage).
- Tour of the Christian Village of Harissa
The last stage of your tour will take you to Harissa, a beautiful religious village that overlooks the Jounieh Bay. Here, you can see the statue of the Virgin Mary which was erected in 1908. It can be spotted from miles away. You can enter the base which houses a lovely chapel, via an exterior spiral staircase.
After this fantastic day, you will return to your vehicle and be taken back to Beirut.
