Ride the cable car to the top of Whitehorn Mountain and enjoy an exceptional view of Lake Louise and the Canadian Rockies!
Starting at the Lake Louise station, a hamlet located near Banff National Park, you'll take the cable car to admire Lake Louise from the top of Whitehorn Mountain.
You'll board an open or closed cable car that can take up to 4 people, and enjoy a 15-minute ascent to the top of the mountain, which is over 2,000 metres high. As you go up, you'll see Temple Mountain, Fairview Mountain and Fairmount Castle.
Once you reach the top, you'll find a panoramic view of the lake, the Victoria Glacier and Bow Valley. Gaze down at the turquoise waters of the lake and admire the flora and fauna - you may even get to see this region's famous inhabitants - grizzly bears.
When you're ready you can take the cable car down the mountain (4pm at the latest).
Once you're at the bottom you'll have free admission to the Wildlife Interpretive Centre, a fascinating place where you can learn more about Banff National Park's wildlife. What's more, you can enjoy breakfast or lunch in one of the resort's restaurants.

When you book, you'll be asked to select your meal option from the following:
- The "cable car only" package
- The "cable car and breakfast" package (served daily from 8am to 11am)
- The "cable car and gourmet" package includes a tourist cable car ticket and a food and beverage voucher for CAD 25 for adults and CAD 12 for children which can be spent at the following:
- Whitehorn Bistro (at the summit),
- Bear's Den Smokehouse Patio,
- Ten Peaks Cafeteria,
- Slopeside Coffee Bar

- Important: For the ascent you'll board the first available cable car, the waiting time can be 30 minutes. For the descent we recommend that you don't wait for the last cable car
- You'll have to present a valid ID with your voucher to prove your age
- You'll have the choice of an open or closed cabin.
- The last ascent takes place 30 minutes before closing time
- The last descent takes place at closing time
- We recommend you bring warm clothes due to the cooler temperatures at the summit
- The cable cars take a maximum of 4 people
- Pets aren't allowed in the cable cars
- The tour may be cancelled if the weather is bad. In this is the case, the activity will be postponed or a full refund will be offered.
- If you choose the lunch option, you must book your table via the tour operator.
