Description

Discover the medieval fortress of the Dukes of Anjou, the Château d'Angers!

Travel back in time and immerse yourself in the medieval era by visiting the Château d'Angers, in the heart of the Loire region. You'll be fascinated by its late-Gothic buildings and its 17 towers made of schist and limestone.

During your visit, be sure to admire the Apocalypse Tapestry, commissioned in 1375 by Duke Louis 1st. This medieval work of art will impress you with both its extraordinary dimensions (100 metres long) and its age. You'll also enjoy discovering the dukes' dwelling and the view over the whole city of Angers from the top of the castle ramparts.

Finally, you'll finish your visit to this castle with the gardens lining its walls. You'll stroll through the vineyards, vegetable garden and rose garden.

Take advantage of your stay to visit the Château d'Angers and the treasures it contains!
