Set sail on an unmissable whale and dolphin watching cruise, accompanied by marine biologists!
Set sail for the port of Ponta Delgada, where you'll meet the crew of the day. You'll board a catamaran or Zodiac (depending on the option chosen). The marine biologists who will accompany you throughout the observation cruise will give a brief introduction and tell you about the species you may come across during your activity.
As your cruise begins, you'll skirt the coast of São Miguel Island and begin your expedition through the Azores archipelago. You'll head out into the deep waters of the Atlantic, where you'll have the best chance of spotting beaked whales. Marine biologists will explain that some species are just passing through as they are in the middle of their migratory cycle, while others live around the Azores archipelago (Azores).
During the cruise, you'll also have the chance to observe dolphins and sperm whales - these cetaceans are very present in the waters of the Azores (Azores)!
At the end of the observation cruise, you'll be taken back to the departure point: the port of Ponta Delgada in São Miguel.
